Like you and me, they just have had less luck in life and been born in the wrong place at an inopportune time. I am laughing at the migrants blocked with a cold hair between the border of Belarus and Poland. I am ashamed to write about them today because they have had a very bad time, because what happens says very little about our world, because I am outraged that these things can happen in civilized Europe and because even then it could be you or I who one day we were in a similar situation. Were not our grandparents when in the first months of 1939 they crossed the snowy Pyrenees in pitiful conditions and were interned in concentration camps for our French neighbors? Remember why not so long ago and It hurts to see similar things continue to happen.
