There are five arrested for the shooting in Puerto Morelos

Cancun, QR.- The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) announced the arrest of two men related to the events of last Thursday on the beach of Bahía Petempich, in front of the Hyatt Ziva hotel in Puerto Morelos, where two alleged drug dealers were executed. There are five detainees.

Prosecutor Óscar Montes de Oca revealed that the armed groups that carried out the shooting last week are a split from the Sinaloa Cartel.

He also assured that last Thursday’s skirmish was ordered from the Cancun jail by inmates Josué “S”, alias Cheché, and Hugo “P”, alias El Gemelo.

The prosecutor reported that they managed to identify and locate three of four vehicles in which the attackers arrived at the aforementioned beach, last Thursday, November 4, the above as a result of the cabinet and field analysis and with the support of the technology of the C5 and private cameras.

In the previous action, the capture of two drivers was achieved while a third fled and there was even an exchange of shots against elements of the police, managing to escape into a jungle area.

This led to the request for the support of personnel from the Navy, the Mexican Army and the National Guard to search for said subject by air and land, without positive results so far.

It was recalled that three other individuals identified as Alexander “C”, Gael “P” and José “P”, alleged members of the opposition group, are also at the disposal of the Public Ministry. Their arrest took place on Friday, November 5, after they hid for hours in the beach area of ​​Bahía Petempich in Puerto Morelos.
