The Ruy Pérez Tamayo scientist passed away 97 years ago

The specialist in pathology Ruy Pérez Tamayo failed in the 97th anniversary of the oath, confirmed this jueves the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM).

The original origin of Tamaulipas was the founder of the Unit of Medical Investigation Experimental of the Faculty of Medicine and the Unit of Pathology at the General Hospital of Mexico; in addition to being professor emeritus of the UNAM lasts for 60 years.

In 2013 he developed his bust in the Explanada of Medical Illustrated by the Secretariat of Health.

Ruy Pérez, who studied medicine at the UNAM and specializes in pathology, also a member of El Colegio Nacional, beginning on November 27, 1980, at the Mexican Academy of Languages.

According to the National College, the pathologist has published more than 170 scientific articles and 87 books. In addition, he won the National Prize of Senior Citizens in 1974 and the Aida Weis Prize in 1986.

Among his works are detached titles such as Ethics of Medical Medicine (2002), Diez Reasons to Be Scientific (2013) and Pathology of Poverty (2016).
