The price of electricity in Spain has no ceiling. Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 15, it shoots up to levels never imagined: 172.78 euros / MWh. It thus rises 20 euros more than the last record, last Monday, when it rose to 154 euros / MWh. And it sounds more crazy when compared to the cost of electricity just a year ago, 48.90 euros / MWh, almost four times more expensive.
It thus sprays the 154 €/MWh Monday and not only breaks the barrier of 160 euros, but also that of 170.
The price will be at all times above (almost) 160 euros / MWh, marking its daily maximum from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with 180.30 euros / MWh, also an hourly record. The minimum will be between 11 pm and midnight, which will be 159.42 euros / MWh.
