The increase in explosions and ash rain forces the confinement of three neighborhoods of La Palma

The direction of the Special Plan for Civil Protection against Volcanic Risk (Pevolca) has ordered this afternoon to the population that they have not yet been evacuated from the neighborhoods of Tajuya, Tacande de Arriba and Tacande de Abajo, on La Palma, that they confine themselves to their homes.

In a message issued by the 112 of the Canary Islands, Pevolca explains that the explosiveness of the eruption that began on Sunday has intensified and the expulsion of pyroclastic material has increased.

The ash emission is also getting stronger.
