The Canadian High District School Board has announced the closure of one of its schools due to the increase in COVID-19 cases.

According to a board press release sent Sunday, the Eastern Ontario Health Unit closed Viscount Alexander Public School in Cornwall until at least September 20 to limit further spread of COVID-19 within the school and the community.

The Upper Canada board sent notices to parents at four other schools warning them that a case of COVID-19 had been detected at their son’s institution.
