The good vibes of joining El Sueño de Morfeo

Good people and good vibes. Beyond successes like the ‘It will never come back’ (2005) or ‘With you till the end’ (2013), to mention only the two hits that crown, for now, the start and the suspensive points of his career, the followers of the Asturcan band El Sueño de Morfeo stand out his human quality, his closeness and that feeling of closeness and sincere affection that they always left between the fans and the professionals who worked with them. This is how the first fans of the trio have been repeating it since yesterday before the prospect of playing together again in a solidarity project.

This is what Prensa Ibérica, the group to which this newspaper belongs, and Endesa Music Lovers with the support of the Canary Islands in The Great Solidarity Challenge: finish convincing Raquel del Rosario, Juan Luis Suarez and David Feito to get the gang together and offer a solidarity concert for the benefit of those affected by the Cumbre Vieja volcano. The campaign has already begun to receive the first support.

Silvia Poyal wrote through her Instagram account that it is necessary to bring them together again “because they are good musicians, because groups like this are needed that transmit good vibes, because they are great, simple and good people; because I want to see them again & rdquor ;. Her testimony coincides with the applause dedicated to her by another user of this social network, Yolanda, and with the reflection made by some of the members of the one that she was her band for almost 10 years.

Piper Ricardo Soberado, who was also in charge of the ‘whistle’ with the trio, describes how “one pass” the experience of getting back togethereven if untouched. “We have spent many years on tour, there are already some who have not seen each other for a long time. Raquel is like three years, and just the fact of seeing each other would be great. If, in addition, we played, it would be double, because The Dream of Morpheus It was an experience that I would never have dreamed of living. There were so many things that just thinking about the idea of playing makes me wince & rdquor ;. Soberado still has recorded in his retina what it means, even more so for a piper, to play at the Vicente Calderón stadium for 50,000 people, and he concedes that as the band never said goodbye, but rather a “hasta la vista & rdquor;have always lived “in the hope that it will not die definitively, and that, even, it will no longer be a concert, but that we could return to do a tour & rdquor ;.

Soberado was one of the oldest members of the project, because David Feito called him one of the first when he formed Xemá, that pop and folk band that would be the embryo, a couple of years later, of El Sueño de Morfeo, when they had added Rachel del Rosario, arrived in Asturias from his native Canary Islands, and Juan Luis Suárez. It was at that time, in 2005, when the debut album was released, titled with the name of the band. followed the success of ‘It will never come back’ supported by appearing in the series ‘The Serranos’ along with Fran Perea, with whom they recorded a Celtic version of “1 más 1 son 7”.

In that first work he included some songs that continue to enjoy the support of the public, such as ‘Esta soy yo’, whose lyrics were reproduced these days in the account of another Instagram user, Paloma González, motivating herself after a bit of exercise and with the labels #diaadia #fitness #hoytocabrazo.

For The Great Solidarity Challenge that has now been launched with the aim of convincing the trio to get back together and offer a solidarity concert, the label that is being used is that of #MorpheusWakeupforLaPalma and all his followers are asked to share material of this type to encourage the group to return to the stage and contribute to the reconstruction of the island of La Palmastill in dire need of help to recover from the volcano disaster.

Being able to play together again is an idea that also seduces the drummer who always accompanied them, Isra Sánchez. “I would really like it, and not only for work, because what I always liked was the good vibes in the band, so it would not be bad at all & rdquor ;, he says. Like his partner Soberado, it is to think again about that repertoire and the years of touring come back to him and he knows little: “They could already decide to do a tour like the ones of yesteryear”, he jokes. He also weighs, in the desire to get together again, and in that he also shares reflection with his colleague, the idea of seeing each other’s faces, including those who have been without contact for more years.
