As in previous years, the event will take place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and will be broadcast around the world in 4K on a variety of platforms. A specific time for this year’s show was not revealed, but it is expected to be sometime in the evening as in previous ceremonies.
Keighley confirmed, however, that Hollywood composer Lorne Balfe (Mission Impossible) will be conducting the live orchestra again this year. “Much more to share [the] weeks ahead, ”Keighley concluded.
Each year, the show offers a combination of awards given to the best games and developers, as well as world premiere game reveals.
