EPS said 3.8 percent of its employees opted for rapid tests and 0.1 percent (four employees) chose to take unpaid leave.

Seventeen employees have yet to complete the required survey that indicates their choice.

EPS spokeswoman Cheryl Sheppard said employees who cannot be vaccinated or who refuse to participate in rapid tests due to a protected characteristic, such as religious beliefs, are being “reasonably accommodated on an individual basis.”
