The ABM warns about fraud attempts

Are you a bank user? Be careful, as the Association of Banks of Mexico (ABM) launched an alert where it warns that there have been cases in which fraudsters pose as different financial institutions and even the same ABM to request money as an advance to grant loans.

Through its Twitter account, the ABM recalled that neither they nor any other bank request advances.

“Neither the Association of Banks of Mexico, nor the banks ask you for money to grant you a loan. Not for the concept of procedures, guarantees, separate insurance. If they do, be careful, it is fraud ”, published the association.

The alert is part of the campaign that the bank launched to prevent its customers from being victims of fraud, in which it asks not to share sensitive data. If you receive a call or email requesting your passwords, passwords or PIN, hang up immediately and report the incident to your bank and the authorities.
