Toronto police are looking for at least three suspects after a teenager was stabbed near Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute Monday afternoon.
Police say they received reports of a stabbing in the area of Birchmount Road and Kingston Road before 3:30 pm
Police tell CityNews a 14-year-old boy was stabbed and suffered minor injuries, and as for suspects, officers say they know who they are looking for, but did not provide further details.
A small area can be seen taped off in front of the school with police evidence markers.
A school letter sent to parents confirms the victim is a student there and the stabbing happened around 3:10 pm, after school hours, so there was no lockdown because staff and students had already left the building.
It also said Toronto District School Board will be available for counseling and support, “this incident may be understandably upsetting for students who saw or heard about what happened.”
Police are asking anyone who has information about the stabbing to contact them.
