Tecumseh OPP seeking suspects after Canada Post break-in

OPP in Tecumseh are hoping the public can help identify three people who broke into a postal building in Tecumseh earlier this week.

According to surveillance camera images, the crime happened between 11:21 pm on Tuesday, April 5, and 12:02 am on Wednesday, April 6, at the Canada Post location at 11910 Tecumseh Rd. East.

Three individuals were recorded entering the building stealing a tablet device.

The stolen device was a Microsoft Surface Pro.

One of the suspects was using crutches due to an apparent injury to the left foot.

Two of the suspects wore blue jackets, jeans, and hooded sweaters.

OPP ask members of the community to be vigilant about suspicious activity in their area — especially related to post office boxes or Canada Post vehicles.

The Essex County OPP Community Street Crime Unit is continuing to investigate. Anyone with information about these individuals or this incident is encouraged to call police at 1-888-310-1122.
