Winnipeg’s Jennifer Jones has captured the glory of curling once again, securing a spot at the Beijing Winter Games in February.

Jones’ team St. Vital defeated Tracy Fleury’s East St. Paul track 6-5 in a duel that saw Jones roll a little too far in the 10th and force an extra finish.

Team Jones skips Jennifer Jones confirming a good shot when the stone stops at home against Team Fleury during the women’s final of the 2021 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials in Saskatoon on Sunday.

Fleury rubbed a guard on his last pitch from the extra end to give Jones a steal of one and the win.

Jones won Olympic gold on his only other trip to the games in 2014.

She will be joined in Beijing by leader Dawn McEwen, second Jocelyn Peterman, third Kaitlyn Lawes and alternate Lisa Weagle.

Women’s curling at the games will begin on February 10.
