A suspect is in custody after a stabbing on commercial property in Mississauga left a man seriously injured Wednesday, authorities said.

Peel Regional Police said they were called to the Dixie and Britannia Highways area shortly before 6 p.m.

Peel’s paramedics told Global News that the victim was transported to a local hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police said a man was detained, adding that no more suspects are being sought.

The investigation continues.
