A Matane resident wanted in connection with a series of violent sexual assaults was arrested Wednesday afternoon in St-Hyacinthe in the Montérégie region.
Daniel Thibeault, 45, was wanted under arrest warrants for armed sexual assault, battery, pimping and drug trafficking in connection with incidents that occurred in the Quebec City, Matane and Gaspé regions in 2020 and 2021, said the Sûreté du Québec.
Thibault is expected to appear in court in St-Hyacinthe on Thursday.
