Strike threat looms over SAQ as warehouse workers vote to initiate pressure tactics

The threat of a strike looms over the Société des alcools du Québec after 800 unionized warehouse and distribution workers voted 94 percent in favor of pressure tactics that could include a strike.

The strike vote does not involve the employees of the SAQ branch, who are members of the different union.

Warehouse and distribution workers are members of the FTQ -Affiliate to Syndicat canadien de la fonction publique and has not had a contract since April 1.
