States finance attacks against the computer systems of the Government of Quebec. This was indicated on Friday by the Minister responsible for digital transformation, Éric Caire.
He declined to say which states it was and took the trouble to point out that he had to be careful.
The question was posed to him in the context of Canada’s strained relations with China.
States could thus be interested in government databases in multiple areas, whether health services or territorial data.
Chinese could thus acquire land in Quebec, gave the minister as an example.
