State government tenders works for the reconstruction of the El Quelite bridge


Culiacan, Sin. April 28, 2022. – As was the commitment of Governor Rubén Rocha Moya, this Thursday the tenders were published on Compranet for the reconstruction of the El Quelite bridge, being a federal work in the south of the state where the Sinaloa government will contract.

In this work, the federal government will contribute the 200 million pesos that the construction will cost, for which the State Government published this Thursday the tenders that will be open at the national level and giving priority to local companies; These are four tenders so that the construction companies can work simultaneously.

Governor Rubén Rocha explained that the new bridge to be built will be higher than the previous one and the project was designed to withstand the floods of the river, which were finally the ones that brought it down in September of last year, this project is designed to that lasts a thousand years, according to the technical specifications.

For his part, the Secretary of Public Works: José Luis Zavala Cabanillas, pointed out that it is sought that the construction of the El Quelite River Bridge be carried out by local companies in order to benefit the workforce of the region and generate jobs in this area. zone; The reconstruction of the work will allow four companies to work simultaneously, speeding up the delivery time, and in a few months it will be completed.

The El Quelite bridge collapsed in September 2021 after the passage of hurricane “Nora”, leaving this syndicate partially incommunicado.

SPECIFICATIONS OF THE WORK TO BE CONTRACTED:

• Construction of the El Quelite I Bridge, located at km. 31+900 of the Mazatlán – Culiacán highway.

• Construction of the El Quelite II Bridge, located at km. 31+900 of the Mazatlan Highway.

• Northern Access to the El Quelite II Bridge, through the construction of dirt roads, pavements, complementary works and signage, includes the modernization of the Mármol junction and the conservation of the Mármol road up to the junction with the Highway.

• South access to the El Quelite I bridge and the intermediate section between the El Quelite I and II bridges, through the construction of dirt roads, pavements, complementary works and signage.
