Start your pedals: Bixi Montreal’s 2022 season begins Wednesday at 10 am

Bixi Montreal will begin its 2022 season Wednesday at 10 am, the non-profit bike sharing service announced on Tuesday.

Noting that it has already logged 50 million Bixi trips since 2009, the service said this year’s season will offer users 490 electric bikes, 31 new stations and 765 additional docking points.

The service is also offering, until midnight April 15, a 10-per-cent discount on annual pass. Details can be obtained at the Bixi Montreal website.

stations have been added this season near the Université de Montréal and HEC Montréal as well as the Olympic Village and Atwater Market.

This year, Bixi Montreal’s network will include 7,270 regular bikes and 2,395 electric bikes in Montreal, Westmount, Town of Mount Royal, Longueuil and Laval. Montreal has the largest fleet of electric bikes in Canada and one of the largest in North America, the service said.
