South African police intervened to dislodge looters from a warehouse storing large quantities of alcohol in Durban.
The violence that erupted this week in South Africa has left at least 117 dead, according to an official report. In addition, more than 2,000 people have been arrested.
At the origin of these incidents: the imprisonment of former President Jacob Zuma, sentenced to 15 months in prison for contempt of justice, coupled with economic concerns against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic.
