Of those patients, 30 are in intensive care — a decrease of three.

The province announced that six more deaths have been attributed to the virus, bringing the death toll to 15,559.

Additionally, 1,138 more COVID-19 cases have been confirmed through PCR testing at the province’s clinics. That is the highest number identified through PCR testing since early May.

However, insofar as this method of testing is not accessible to most Quebecers, the case tally is not representative of the situation in the province.

On Wednesday, Quebec administered an additional 4,492 vaccine doses.

Since the start of the vaccination campaign, the province has received 23,087,205 doses, of which it has administered 20,236,569.
