Why would you recommend Mint Health + Drugs to those with pharmaceutical questions and needs?

Mint Health + Drugs is 100% Alberta owned and run by pharmacists. We have pharmacists who are certified in many different areas such as diabetes, travel, home health, and many more areas to list.

We are prescribers, so we can evaluate patients and prescribe for minor illnesses without them having to see their doctor.

Our travel clinics can serve the needs of the people who will be traveling. It is important that travelers have an individual query about their trip because there is no one-size-fits-all solution. During a comprehensive assessment, we sit down with a patient and make sure they are protected with the type of vaccinations that are needed for the type of trip they will be taking. We can also prescribe any medications you may need and provide you with all kinds of resources and information to take home.

What is Professional Certification in Travel Health and why is it important?

The certification we have is very specialized and is based on internationally recognized exams. It is important because it is a comprehensive assessment of your experience and knowledge of travel risks around the world, not just those related to vaccines.

What should visitors bring to their appointment?

They should bring all the vaccination records they may have, as well as their travel itinerary and insurance information, because as a pharmacy we can directly bill their drug plans for the cost of vaccines and travel medications for those covered by the employer or the government drug. plans.

In general, we understand that vacations can be very overwhelming and adding travel and a pandemic to the top doesn’t make it any easier. At Mint, our certified travel health pharmacists can sit down with you and review your itinerary to provide personalized recommendations to keep you and your family safe.

Since you don’t need to see your doctor and because we can bill directly, it’s a one-stop-shop to do everything!
