Sheinbaum highlights progress of the My Scholarship to Begin program in CDMX

As part of the economic support strategy for the capital’s population, the Head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, announced that 546,186 new cards of the program have been delivered My Scholarship to Get Started, which means an advance of 45.51% of the programmed goal.

In a press conference, the local president specified that this progress has been achieved in the period from October 11 to 25.

He recalled that the goal for this 2021-2022 school year is to reach 1.2 million students, from preschool to high school; the investment amount of the program is 4,410 million pesos.

For her part, the general director of the Guaranteed Education Trust, Rita Salgado Vázquez, explained that in addition to financial support, the card includes protection in case of school accidents on the way or stay at the educational institution and gives access to special, cultural and sporting events.

With our scholarship, all the boys, girls and adolescents of the city are in this universality. Adolescents deserve to be bet on them, to be invested in their full development. With this card, preschool children receive 400 pesos, primary and secondary 435 pesos and Multiple Attention Centers, 500 pesos, ”he said.

It has the support of School Supplies and Uniforms, which is also very important, our preschool children receive 820 pesos, those of primary school 920 pesos and those of secondary school and Multiple Attention Centers, 1,000 pesos, “said Rita Salgado.

Sheinbaum Pardo also highlighted that since Monday the delivery of the Pension for Seniors 65 and over in Mexico City.

“There are 41 places where the card is already being distributed,” added the head of government.
