Several flooded businesses in L’Ancienne-Lorette

Several businesses were flooded on Tuesday in the L’Ancienne-Lorette sector, near Quebec City.

The firefighters intervened in an industrial sector located mainly on rue Bresse, near the airport road.

According to the authorities, the abundant water from the melting of the neighboring fields would have flowed into the street, which would have flooded the businesses. A few rustproofing, auto detailing, lawn and welding garages are located here. Pumping was necessary.

At the end of the day, there was only one truck left from the Quebec Fire Protection Service and the situation was gradually improving.

A clean-up operation is expected in the next few hours.
