The Political Coordination Board (JCP) of the Senate Chamber agreed to integrate a Special Investigation Commission to determine the existence of probable abuses of authority and violations of the rule of law in Veracruz, not only in the case of José Manuel del Río Virgen, his technical secretary, arrested last Wednesday, accused of qualified murder.

Dante Delgado Rannauro, coordinator of the senatorial parliamentary group of Citizen movement (MC) and a co-religionist from Del Río Virgen, will preside over the aforementioned special investigative commission and will act as secretaries Julen Rementería, coordinator of the senators of the National Action Party (PAN), and the Morenoist senator Eduardo Ramirez.

“Given the lack of clarity in the information offered by the state authorities, we respectfully request the Power of attorney of the state of Veracruz de Ignatius of the Key, that fully clarifies the reasons for the arrest (of José Manuel del Río Virgen) and the evidence it has, so that it acts at all times in accordance with the law and does not lend itself to the fabrication of crime and political persecution ”, Monreal Ávila affirmed when reading a statement from the JCP, signed by the coordinators of the eight parliamentary groups represented within it.
And he called, on behalf of the members of the aforementioned internal body, the governor of Veracruz, Cuitláhuac García, and especially the local Judicial Power, “so that they conduct themselves in accordance with the law.”
It is public knowledge, he said, that the MC National Candidacies Commission, “in the face of the cowardly murder of his candidate for municipal president of Cazones de Herrera, Remigio Tovar, was forced to replace him less than 48 hours after the election, approving This is the candidacy of Omar Ramírez, so there are no facts or evidence or statements that link in any way the teacher Del Río Virgen, with any crime, making it absurd that for this reason they intend to link him with this criminal case.
“We know that the research folder led to an unfounded arrest, which was requested in writing, falling into another irregularity since the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation has determined that the arrest warrants must be requested in a hearing before the control judge, which is why it lacks validity. ”
It is, he added, an illegal arrest warrant, which does not have any justification and motivation because “there is no evidence whatsoever” that relates the detainee “directly or indirectly to the facts that are attributed to him,” leaving him in total defenselessness, “in contravention of the guarantees of article 16 of the Constitution.”
A specific question about starting in the Senate Chamber of the procedure for the disappearance of powers in Veracruz, announced the day before by Dante Delgado, responded that this will be part of “the next stage” in the case.
