Recently, both authorities from the National Fund for the Promotion of Tourism (Fonatur) and the National Housing Commission (Conavi) announced the delivery of the first 16 householdsfor the benefit of 60 people, located in Ejido Haro, in Escárcega, Campeche, who were relocated in order to free up the road, through which the mayan train in its Section 1.

“The mayan train it is built with the participation of communities, ejidos and towns, it is a project that will benefit us all, it does not exclude us”, declared Javier May Rodríguez, head of Fonatur.

According to the official, only for Section 1, which goes from Palenque to Escárcega, the relocation of 266 householdswhich were based on the right of way, for which the government foresees an investment of close to 285 million pesos.

According to the plans for the project, the new households They must be built with resources from Fonatur in coordination with the government of Campeche so that the Secretariat of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development, through the National Housing Commission, builds them.

Ana Luis Guzmán Ramos, deputy director of Monitoring Actions of the National Housing Commission, pointed out that in six out of 10 households that are built primarily benefit women.
