Police initially launched an investigation for a suspect: Zachary Comeau, 18, with no fixed address. But on October 1, police announced that Daniel was a second suspect in the investigation.
The investigation initially led to Comeau’s arrest in Barrie on October 17. They charged him with second degree murder.
Police said Monday that on Saturday, Daniel was arrested by the Greater Sudbury Police Service on unrelated charges. Northumberland OPP took custody of Daniel based on the court order.
Daniel was charged with complicity in the murder.
He was placed in pre-trial detention and is scheduled to appear in court in Cobourg on November 12.
