Officers are searching for Brookes Buffalo, 22, who is known to frequent the Maskwacis area, police said in a press release Tuesday.

The autopsy results ruled that the death of 24-year-old Andrew Bellerose was a homicide and that he was stabbed to death. He was found in critical condition in the early hours of the morning of August 16 near Whyte Avenue and 105 Street. He died at the scene despite the help of paramedics and the public.

Officials previously released photos of three people of interest.

Police are asking anyone who knows where Buffalo is to contact local police or Crime Stoppers.

Bellerose’s death was Edmonton’s 22nd homicide in 2021.
