In alliance, the Ministry of Economy and Mercado Libre announced the creation of Artesanal MX, an online store that will serve as a virtual showcase for handicraft producers.
The store will function as a space in the Mercado Libre marketplace, the secretariat reported.
As part of this initiative, the country’s artisans will be trained in technological skills that will allow them to take advantage of the digital solutions offered by the ecosystem, such as advertising and logistics, among others.
So far, craft companies from Puebla, Michoacán, Hidalgo, Chiapas, Morelos, Tlaxcala, Guanajuato and Chihuahua have joined this initiative.
