The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation is proud to once again host the annual Santa’s Sleigh that takes place at Walmart on Chemong Road in Peterborough from Thursday, November 25 at 3 p.m. to Monday, December 6 at noon.
Shoppers are asked to choose a child’s name from the tree, do some shopping, and leave the gift (s) in Santa’s sleigh. Once purchased, social workers from the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society deliver the toys for the children to open on Christmas Day.
The Family Sponsorship Program also returns this year. This is a great way for local businesses and organizations to purchase gifts not just for the child but for the entire family during the holiday season. Contact the Foundation at 705-743-9751 for more information.
