The mayor of Cuauhtémoc, Sandra Cuevas Nieves, announced that in November of this year work will begin to build the Technological-Tourist Corridor of the Zona Rosa.
At a press conference, he explained that the total investment of this new project will be 300 million pesos and will be completed at the end of January 2022.
By revealing that the town hall already has 50% of the budgetary resources for the project, provided by the Private initiative, the mayor made a call to the head of government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, to support the budget with the other half, which would be 150 million pesos.
“Hence the call to our head of Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, for the project to advance because it is a matter of economic reactivation with an impact for the country and America Latina, so I hope to have that support and the 150 million pesos that are needed ”, he requested.
Sandra Cuevas He specified that the objective of this objective is to generate a better commercial and economic dynamics for the entity.
“The idea is to return the splendor that the Pink Zone in the 1970s (…) It is about the transformation of the entire street of Genoa since the corridor will be installed there ”, he said.
In addition, he informed that there will be relocation of the business on public roads, which includes the Insurgentes roundabout.
At the same time, he announced that the streets surrounding this corridor will also have changes so that they have better urban services, in addition to the fact that there will be a reactivation accompaniment to the businessmen in the area, how are the restaurateurs, hoteliers, established businesses and stores.
