Sacmex will implement special operation for water cut

Due to the fact that the country’s capital will suffer a water cut, the Mexico City Water System (Sacmex) informed that a special operation of pipe service.

Through an information sheet, the Sacmex detailed that the partial suspension of the service already began at 2:00 p.m. this Saturday and it is estimated that the maneuvers will be carried out within a period of 22 hours, so the normalization of the service will be will be able to resume on the morning of Sunday, February 6.

The special operation is for affected mayorsThese are Tlalpan, Magdalena Contreras, Álvaro Obregón, Cuajimalpa, Cuauhtémoc and Benito Juárez, as well as Iztacalco and Iztapalapa.

Sacmex recalled that this water cut is the result of a failure in the control mechanisms of the gates of the Dos Ríos port of the Cutzamala Aqueduct operated by Conagua.

“An approximate flow of between 3 and 4 cubic meters per second will continue to be supplied to Sacmex, at the delivery point called Cruz de la Misión,” he pointed out.
