Rufián points to Robles for espionage: “If he knew, he has to resign”

Two days before the decree of anti-crisis measures as a result of the war in Ukraine has to be validated in Congress, the ERC has warned that the PSOE has 48 hours to give explanations and has warned that the socialists only understand the language that they can “knock down” the legislative agenda.

Although the ERC spokesman, Gabriel Rufian, has not advanced the direction of the vote to the decree that must be voted this Thursday, the Republican leader has returned to feint with a position against and has demanded the resignation of the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, in case she was aware of the espionage of pro-independence politicians.

“If you spy, you should not only resign but also end up in jail. If you knew about it, you should resign and if you didn’t know, give an explanation. One more minute should not be allowed to pass and each silence affects the democracy of this country.”warned at a press conference in Congress after stressing that the ERC vote for the decree of the war in Ukraine is at stake.

“We are not advancing the direction of the vote, but I do tell you that the only language that the PSOE understands is touching the legislative agenda, knocking down the legislative agenda. Could this be harmful to the ERC? Yes, it is, but it is the the only language that the PSOE understands”, said Rufián after influencing later that “it is more harmful in democracy to spy on people you don’t like“.

Rufián added that if the PSOE does not like ERC, EH Bildu, the BNG, Compromís, Más País, or United We Can, “nothing happens, let them say so, because they have an alternative, which is the Popular Party of the very moderate Núñez Feijoo”.

“If they are so brave or so cool that they say so, if they want to agree with the PP”he has asserted.

In addition, Rufián has pointed out that the parliamentary commission on official secrets should be launched and has denied that the ERC has vetoed the presence of Vox: “It is an excuse from the PSOE, it is a lie from the PSOE.”

“We don’t like that Vox is on that commission, but it has to be… and I have to accept it”he has pointed out.

A commission that the independentistas would support but they see as insufficient since both the PDeCAT, JxCAT or the Cup demand an investigation commission, while other investiture partners such as Compromís would support it if it changed its majorities in order to be constituted.
