Rohit Communities is the latest to join the pack of builders in the University District with a mix of stacked condos and townhomes called Dean’s Landing.
The builder has multifamily projects in Carrington and Sage Hill in Calgary’s northwest quadrant, Savanna in the northeast, Seton in the southeast, and will soon begin construction in Currie in the southwest.
Stuart Wen, Rohit’s senior marketing coordinator, says they are servicing land for two- and four-story condominium buildings and townhomes along with a community dog park being developed by the University of California Properties Group. Calgary.
“We have one of the best locations, right off the Shaganappi Trail and 32nd Avenue NW next to North Pond. Our residents can take advantage of those parks right outside their door,” she says.
Wen says Rohit’s stacked row houses have been successful in other Calgary communities.
“When we started talking to UCPG, they wanted a mix of construction products that no one had seen yet,” he says. “Pricing for our green gold-built condominiums and stacked townhomes will be in line with average prices for other products in the community.”

In addition to offering a great location, Wen says UCPG has done a great job with the commercial lease on University Avenue NW, the main street in the community.
“They have brought in a great mix of businesses. When I walk down that street on a night or a weekend, there are a lot of people, not only from the community, but also from surrounding communities,” she says.
Joining Save-On-Foods, Cineplex VIP Cinemas and the other 20+ retailers is Murrieta Hospitality Group’s newest tenant Borough Bar and Grill, with a 4,500-square-foot dining room and patio overlooking the future completed Central Commons Park.
