Reader’s Letter: Sad to See Canadians Losing Their Freedom

Article content

In my opinion, Canadians are now prisoners of our own country.

Up to 15 percent of all Canadians are affected.

It is a sad day in history when our Canadian ancestors fought and many lost their lives for the right to freedom. I believe this time period will go down in Canadian history as the legacy of Prime Minister Trudeau. That it was he who imprisoned his citizens and stripped Canadians of their freedoms.

I am saddened that opposition party leaders and members of Parliament agree with the Prime Minister’s actions, as his is not a majority party. This should never have been the case.

Canadians have gone from being protective to being submissive.

In my opinion, the Canadian flag should be hoisted upside down, which means the country needs help, or at half mast representing the death of our freedom.

I feel it is sad that our country can be devastated by a few in power with such a drastic negative effect on millions.

Although some political representatives fight for voters on their journey, they should also fight for the rights of all citizens.
