One person is dead and another is seriously injured following a vehicle collision in Saddle Lake Cree Nation.
In a Tuesday news release, Mounties said St. Paul RCMP responded to a “serious” collision involving a single motor vehicle on North South Road in the First Nations community, about 150 km northeast of Edmonton.
RCMP said it expects officers to remain on the scene for several hours investigating the incident.
Police said they are not releasing any information about those involved before notifying family of the victims.
