Mounts are investigating the murder of a woman in Smoky Lake County.
On October 15, around 6:20 pm, RCMP responded to a call to assist emergency medical services with a possible sudden death at a residence in Mons Lake, Alta.
A 52-year-old woman from Smoky Lake, Alta. was confirmed dead at the scene and RCMP is investigating her death as a suspect.
The Edmonton Chief Medical Examiner’s Office completed an autopsy, which confirmed the manner of death as a homicide.
Police continue to investigate.
Mons Lake is about 133 miles northeast of Edmonton.
