Ramírez de la O exchanged economic ideas with Pedro Castillo during his visit to Peru: SHCP

The Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit (SCHP) released the details of the trip of its owner, Rogelio Ramírez de la O, to Peru, where he visited the president Pedro Castillo.

“The visit that Secretary Rogelio Ramírez de la O made to Peru on behalf of the President of the Republic, focused on presenting President Pedro Castillo with various economic proposals in support of the economy of that South American country and at the same time represent a benefit for Mexico, “said the agency in a statement.

On Monday morning, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced that Ramírez de la O was traveling through Peruvian lands since that country is “going through a difficult situation.”

“I take this opportunity to tell you that the Secretary of the Treasury, Rogelio Ramírez de la O, went to Peru to support the government of Peru, which is going through a difficult situation, as much as we can,” said the President yesterday morning.

The SHCP He said that the Secretary of Finance and the Peruvian president analyzed options to strengthen trade. As well as granting lines of credit from development banks in order to promote exports.

In this sense, the binational dialogue touched on the topic of “an exchange of experiences on the implementation of social programs in support of various sectors of the population.”

According to the Secretary of Finance, in Peru There are already some social programs such as those carried out in Mexico, such as the one to support the elderly at the federal level.
