Quintana Roo certifies companies in sanitary processes

“This has allowed us to reinforce the hygiene habits and protocols of workers in tourist facilities, which allows these guidelines to be better executed,” said the agency.

As part of the improvements to the certification process, during this year 83 verifications have been carried out on lodging and Food and Beverage companies, mainly of the destinations of Cancún, Carmen beach Y Tulum, to monitor due compliance with the sanitary measures established in the protocols and give recommendations for the better functioning of the establishment, explained the person in charge of the secretariat, Andrés Aguilar Becerril.

A total of 66 warrants have been generated, of which more than 90% have been settled, this exercise will continue in the winter season in order to continue with compliance with safety and hygiene measures, he added.

Sedetur, he added, is working on the process of updating the protocols and the certification process with improvements that allow more companies to be part of the certification process in the 2022 call.

Aguilar Becerril called on the state’s tourism companies not to lower their guard and continue with these safety and hygiene practices, to continue with the process of economic recovery in a responsible and orderly manner.
