Queretaro, Qro. During the first week of vacation, particularly from Thursday to Sunday, the Queretaro Association of Hoteliers (AQH) reported an average occupancy of 60.5% in the state, achieving an economic benefit of between 22 and 23 million pesos.

The president of the AQHLuis Signoret, explained that around 1.2 million pesos were generated by the booth replacement campaign launched by the association.

We generated an income of between 22 and 23 million pesos, just for the concept of renting rooms. And through the package that we launched to return booths, more or less that represented 5 to 7% of the global occupation, ”he explained.

The campaign consists of reimbursing (with services within the hotel) the booths of tourists who come from Mexico City and the Bajío; the validity to make reservations began from April 7 to May 31, while the period for people to travel may be until July 28.

“I think we will have a better response this week and in subsequent weeks, to the extent that we give greater promotion and dissemination, we will continue to receive visitors who come looking for that proposal because in the end it is a saving for them,” he said.

The president of the Queretaro Association of Hoteliers He highlighted that the state is resuming the tourist influx, so the sector trusts that business tourism will be restored, an aspect that before the pandemic was the main support of the hotel industry.
