Asked point blank by 98.5 If the province hoped to reinstate curfew or lockdown regulations as the number of daily COVID-19 cases increased in Quebec, FM host Paul Arcand responded, “I won’t tell you this morning. What I’m telling you is that it’s going relatively well. I want us to be on the lookout for hospitalizations … I’ll tell you that we are going to announce 2,300 cases this morning. In a few minutes I’ll be talking to (Montreal’s director of public health) Mylène Drouin. We are looking specifically at Montreal (in regards to the increase in cases) Is it a little bump? … Is it in schools? “

Dubé said it was important that despite the increase in cases the situation was kept under control and that “excellent” people were managing the province’s response to the latest wave.
