Quebec reported 612 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday.

Despite representing only 23.9 percent of the province’s population, people who do not enjoy the protection of a first dose of vaccine accounted for 400 of those new infections.
A total of 415,787 infections have been confirmed in the province since the first was reported in February 2020.
Quebec also announced that three more deaths had been attributed to the virus, bringing the death toll in the province to 11,415.
The number of hospitalizations due to the virus now stands at 296 patients, a decrease of one. Of those patients, 80 are in intensive care, a decrease of four.
