Quebec registers 8 more deaths from COVID-19, 434 new cases | The Canadian News

In Quebec, health officials recorded 434 new cases and eight additional deaths on Friday amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The number of hospitalizations related to the pandemic fell from 14 to 260. This comes after 28 patients were discharged and 14 were admitted on the last day.

This includes 68 people in intensive care units across the province, a drop of four compared to the last count.

Regarding the inoculation campaign, 14,367 doses of the new coronavirus vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours. Since the launch began, more than 13.1 million injections have been administered in Quebec.

The most recent screening information shows that 28,997 tests were performed on Wednesday.

The number of Quebec cases reached 421,791, while the death toll related to the pandemic stood at 11,466 as of Friday.

Throughout the health crisis, more than 405,000 Quebecers have recovered.
