Quebec Liberal Leader Undergoes Examination After MNA Tested Positive for COVID-19 – Montreal | The Canadian News

The leader of the Quebec Liberals underwent a screening test after a colleague from her party’s MNA tested positive for COVID-19.

Dominique Anglade confirmed the negative results of her tests Monday morning, saying that the fight against the pandemic “is not over.”

“Respect the rules and get vaccinated,” he wrote on Twitter.

His test came after liberal MNA Monsef Derraji, who represents Nelligan in Montreal, announced that he contracted COVID-19 over the weekend. She said she underwent a screening test as a “preventative measure” after her daughter’s school sent a letter recommending that she get tested.

Derraji said he will be isolated and urged people to take care of themselves as the health crisis continues.
