the insurer Qualitasspecializing in the sale of car insurance, obtained the authorization to organize, operate and put into operation a Insurance Institution Specialized in Health (ISES), under the name Quálitas Salud.
through the Official Journal of the Federation it was reported that Quálitas is authorized to market accident and illness insurance in the fields of personal accidents, medical expenses and health.
According to the issued document, it was reported that the Quálitas insurance institution, in its ISES branch, will be subject to the inspection and surveillance of the National Insurance and Bond Commission and of the Health Secretaryin accordance with articles 382 and 384 of the Law on Insurance and Bonding Institutions.
It was on September 7, 2020, when the company requested the National Insurance and Bonding Commission (CNSF), the authorization to organize, operate and put into operation an insurance institution specialized in health, to be called Quálitas Salud to carry out the operation of accidents and illnesses in the branches of personal accidents, medical expenses and health.
Quálitas currently leads the top 10 insurers in the car insurance field. At the end of last year, the written premium reached 34,982 million pesos. The profits obtained in 2021 were 3,400 million pesos, also ranking first as the company, in this segment, with the highest amount of profits in the year.
