The Council of Ministers approved this Tuesday the increase in pensions, one of the star measures of the government of Pedro Sánchez. The new system makes pensions updated annually based on the average increase in the CPI to November of the previous year. Contributing pensions, which are the vast majority, will increase by 2.5% in general terms. As the increase in pensions during the previous year was 0.9%, pensioners will also pay the difference this January paguilla which will average 250 euros.
