Mounties are asking the public to be on the lookout for an inmate who didn’t return to the Forensic Institute in Coquitlam.

A Canada-wide warrant was issued Tuesday for 35-year-old Garrett Ryan Bruce, who is considered unlawfully at large from the psychiatric hospital on Colony Farm Road and needs medication he doesn’t have with him.

Police warn he may behave in a way that makes him a risk to the public.

Bruce is white, five-foot-seven, 200 pounds, with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket over a white shirt, blue jeans, black and white shoes and a black baseball cap.

Anyone who sees Bruce is asked not to approach him and to call 911 immediately. Anyone with information on his whereabouts of him can call Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1550.
