Primary environmentalist: Yannick Jadot narrowly wins the ballot against Sandrine Rousseau

Yannick Jadot in the lead in the first round, but an unpredictable second round

Considered the favorite, especially after his 3rd place in the European elections in 2019, Yannick is considered the favorite in this ballot. He also came first in the first round with 27.7% of the vote. But he was just ahead of Sandrine Rousseau (25.14% of the vote). The latter created a surprise by qualifying to the detriment of ex-minister Delphine Batho (22.32%), cantor of ” the decrease “, and the mayor of Grenoble Eric Piolle (22.29%), who defended a “Humanist arc” able to bring together all the forces of the left.

Neither Ms. Batho nor Mr. Piolle then called for a vote for either of the finalists. A few minutes from the result, nothing can therefore predict the choice of more than 122,000 registered for this primary, a figure which is already a record for such a vote among environmentalists.

The result will be announced at 5.30 p.m. in a bar-restaurant in Pantin (Seine-Saint-Denis), at Dock B, not far from the headquarters of the two finalists: Yannick Jadot on a barge-bar, Sandrine Rousseau in a solidarity restaurant training people removed from employment.
