Potholes are back in Sherbrooke

Many potholes have appeared on the roads of Estrie for several days due to the mild weather.

In Sherbrooke, motorists follow the zigs-zags. There are dozens of roads damaged by potholes, as is the case for rue Bertrand-Fabi, rue Galt Ouest, or boulevard Queen-Victoria.

And mechanics see all the colors. Flat tires, dented wheels, damaged suspension, repairs sometimes amount to several hundred dollars.

In Sherbrooke, the road network represents 1130 kilometres. Currently, nine public works crews are busy patching potholes full time.

The City invites the population to report problem areas, in order to better target urgent work, which will be considered a priority.
