Toronto police say they have made an arrest one day after a woman was pushed onto the tracks at the Bloor-Yonge subway station.

Police say the suspect was arrested at Finch GO Station just after 6 pm Monday.

The arrest comes after police released a photo of a female suspect wanted for attempted murder after allegedly pushing a 39-year-old woman onto the tracks on Sunday night. The victim sustained serious injuries.

Police told the Star she “was able to get into the crawl space underneath the platform” to avoid the oncoming train.

Edith Frayne, 45, of Toronto is charged with attempted murder.

She is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday at College Park at 10 am

Toronto police said investigators acknowledge the help of the public as well as the TTC for tips and assistance.
